Approved

Great news...Holladay City approved our remodeling plans and has given us a temporary permit to begin construction! Our contractor, architect and structural engineer were the dynamic trio that met with the city and got these plans passed, hallelujah!!!

More Demolition - October

With the help of Paul's dad, Bob, serious demolition is happening on our house. Hurray! Lots to tear down, before we can build up. I am in love with the exposed brick walls from the original building of the house, too bad we have to remove them for our rennovation plans.

Barrett loves helping out, and made many a trip hauling "misc." items to the garage to be tossed. In this drawer we discovered our first "treasure," a bottle of nail polish firmly attached to the drawer. You definitely won't find that in any spanking-new-construction home!!
Is he worried that the ceiling might just fall down?!?!?

Nowhere to play Hide-and-Seek right now. What you see is definitely what you get. (Eeks, what have we gotten ourselves into?)

Closed

Hurray! We finally closed on our house. After our inital closing fell through, due to an error by our lender in sending the funds to the wrong bank, we took a few days off to visit sunny St. George. Upon our return the funds fiasco had been fixed and we closed on Oct. 18th.
Now the fun can really begin!
